Concord Academy Athletics

At Concord Academy, we celebrate active learning and take pride in educating the whole student.

Whether on a soccer field, basketball court, our USTA tennis courts, or a cross-country course through Concord’s woodlands, our students develop physical, mental and emotional skills, learn important life lessons about teamwork, achievement, balance, and integrity — and cultivate passions that endure for a lifetime through our athletics program. Here are CA, through a broad spectrum of offerings, we can meet almost any interest with opportunity.

Our teams play in the competitive Eastern Independent League (EIL), which regularly produces collegiate-level players. At CA, we practice and compete in exceptional indoor and outdoor facilities2020欧洲杯体育外围网站, including the recently built Moriarty Athletic Campus. Our varsity teams focus on skill refinement and competition, while our JV, intramural, and PE offerings center on skill development and participation.

Without a requirement to participate in interscholastic team sports, students are free to pursue fitness in whatever form most appeals to them — whether that be yoga, strength conditioning, dance, or earning a spot on one of our 30 interscholastic teams, such as soccer, volleyball, Alpine skiing, or lacrosse. Under the guidance of a strong coaching staff and experienced athletic administrators, CA’s programs are geared to meet the needs of collegiate-bound athletes as well as students who simply want to stay healthy and have fun.

Unlike at most independent schools, CA teachers are not required to coach. As a result, all of our sports programs are led by passionate faculty members or expert independent coaches. Our seasoned coaching staff balances challenge and nurture for the best possible athletic experience for our students. Our commitment to fostering a lifetime of wellness, developing sport-specific skills, and cultivating values and life lessons through sport is the backbone of the CA athletic experience.
